What doesn’t Justin Bieber have? Not that he doesn’t deserve it, or worked very hard for it. Most 17 year olds or even people a few years older, don’t have the work ethic and determination that he does. Apart from the millions of adoring fans, awards he has won, chart topping singles, top-selling albums, and merchandise from T-shirts to nail polish. Well, he can now add this to his list: A street named after him.

Caroline Gonzalez of Forney,TX with the street she temporarily renamed 'JUSTIN BIEBER WAY' as mayor.

Justin Bieber Way temporarily replaces a major road, Main Street in a small Texas town that has been dubbed “Antique Capital of Texas” by the Texas legislature named Forney. Forney has a small town charm with a mere population of only 5,588 residents, old diners and charming country-style homes. I find this story especially interesting because we (JustinBieber.info) are a fan site  based out of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area of Texas. The tiny town is about 45 miles from us. 45 miles doesn’t seem far, considering Justin is loved and adored by fans in pretty much every country on the planet.

One 11-year-old resident, Caroline Gonzalez won a Facebook contest, her prize was to replace the elected mayor, Darren Rozell, for a day. Rozell admitted that under his administration, Main Street would have kept its name. But miss Caroline Gonzalez won the contest fair and square. Her first order of business? Renaming one of the major streets in the town, Main Street, after her favorite artist and idol, Justin Bieber of course. When asked why she chose to rename the street, she replied confidently that “I just really like Justin Bieber and I thought it would be cool if we had a street in our town named after him,” She also told a Dallas/Ft Worth area local news station “I thought it was pretty cool and if Justin Bieber was actually here, I’d probably faint,”

Well Justin, your invited to come to Forney whenever you want (make a stop through DFW and visit us though, please.”) The mayor for the other 364 days, Darren Rozell was in support as well. He admitted to the same news station that “I can’t really say that I know a lot of Justin Bieber’s music, but I know that he’s really popular these days, and if she wanted to name it Bieber Way, we were going to make that happen.”, Rozell also followed up on the Facebook winner, Caroline’s comment that she would love it,and probably faint if Justin made it to Forney by saying that “I’ll tell you this: If Justin Bieber sees this and wants to come to Forney, he’s got an open invitation,” said Rozell.

There was only one small problem… The first night after the sign was up, somebody stole it.Fortunately, the sign was replaced quickly and it probably won’t happen again with all the residents aware. Police are investigating and doing their best to find where the original sign is, and who stole it.Forney Police reminded everybody that stealing the sign was a criminal act, and whomever did it is subject to face criminal charges for theft. The one thing that everybody is wondering about that is whether the crook was a fan who wanted a piece of memorabilia so badly, they resorted to criminal action, or a hater that spent their own free time focusing on what they don’t like, rather than what they do.

Caroline Gonzalez, her family and all other Justin Bieber fans in Forney and surrounding areas are in good spirits again with the replacement up for the original amount of time intended under the young girl’s reign as Mayor.

As soon as we have any more information on the sad part of this story, the crook(s) who nabbed the original sign we’ll let you know. The Forney Police Department have a good chance of catching the thieves for several reasons. First off, Forney, Texas is a pretty small town, I’d imagine that they have a good sense of community there, and information spreads fairly quickly. Secondly, the renamed street is a major one, hence its original name, Main Street. It’s safe to say that most citizens, whether they have Bieber Fever or not, would report any information to local authorities because it’s a senseless crime with an innocent, 11 year girl as the main victim even if it was replaced quickly.
